I was on a video call with my therapist when I noticed it wasn't my real therapist but she kept going about it like she was. When I called her out on the fact she wasn't who she said she was she got upset and hung up the phone. I then started performing as if someone was watching me through the phone and that's when the sky turned dark and fireworks went off in the sky. Next thing I know there's aliens coming down and the neighbors house instantly gets invaded. I check all windows for signs of the aliens to see them going into another neighbors house that's when I make a break for it and escape.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, emotions, and experiences, and your dream appears to have several layers of meaning. Let's break down the key elements:
Video Call with a Therapist: This could symbolize your desire for support or guidance in your life. The therapist represents your need for understanding and coping strategies, but the fact that she isn’t who she claims to be suggests feelings of mistrust or disillusionment in who or what is helping you. It might also indicate an internal conflict regarding whether you’re seeking genuine help or if you feel something is not right in your current situation.
Calling Her Out: This shows a level of self-awareness and a desire to confront the truth, whether about yourself or about those around you. It reflects your assertiveness and willingness to challenge things that don’t seem genuine in your life.
Dark Sky and Fireworks: The darkening sky can represent impending challenges or feelings of anxiety. Fireworks often symbolize celebration and excitement, suggesting that even in darker times, there might be moments of joy or clarity. The contrast between darkness and fireworks may indicate that you are experiencing emotional turmoil while still searching for moments of optimism or hope.
Aliens Invading: Aliens can represent feelings of being out of place or experiencing something unfamiliar or overwhelming. The invasion of your neighbor's house might symbolize anxiety about external circumstances affecting your personal space. This could signify fears about unforeseen changes in your life or feelings of vulnerability.
Checking the Windows: This action represents vigilance or a need to be aware of your surroundings. It could suggest that you're feeling increasingly cautious about your environment and being proactive in facing challenges.
Escape: Ultimately, the act of escaping suggests a desire to break free from pressures or threats (whether they are emotional, situational, or relational) in your life. It shows resilience and a drive to protect yourself from that which feels alien or intrusive.
In summary, this dream could reflect your inner conflict regarding trust in your support systems, feelings of anxiety amidst uncertainty, and a deep-seated need to assert your independence and protect your personal space. It may be beneficial to reflect on any current situations or relationships that could evoke these feelings and consider how you might be able to address them.
